From concept to finished product
At the Sułkowice Forge design and technology form the foundation of the process of producing high-quality forgings for demanding industrial sectors. We combine the many years of experience of our design engineers and process engineers with modern design tools, enabling us to move quickly from concept to finished product.
We begin every project by analysing the client’s requirements and assessing the technological feasibility of manufacturing the product. Right from the design stage, we support the optimisation of the design in terms of the forging process, mechanical properties and production economics. This results in durable, functional solutions tailored to the customer’s individual requirements.
Full control over the forging and machining process is ensured by specialist IT systems:
- Creo – we design 3D models, tools and engineering solutions
- Mastercam – we programme and optimise CNC machining with precision,
- Vericut – we verify CNC programmes
- QForm – we simulate forging processes, optimising the flow of material
- Asprova – production planning and scheduling
- 3D printing – we produce prototypes and supporting components quickly
Technology and Development
Modern CAD/CAM systems enable our engineers to design forgings and forging tools with a high degree of precision. Our in-house tool shop enables the rapid manufacture and modification of tooling, which significantly reduces the time taken to bring new products into series production.
The manufacturing process covers the full range of activities, from drawing up documentation and preparing the material, through heating the charge and forging on state-of-the-art hammers and forging presses, right through to finishing operations. Depending on the customer’s requirements, we also carry out CNC machining, heat treatment and thermochemical treatment, as well as surface protection.
A key element of our philosophy is the continuous improvement of production processes, carried out by the Technology and Research and Development departments. Advanced production planning and scheduling systems support effective resource management, ensuring high delivery reliability, consistent quality and optimal utilisation of the plant’s capacity.
